iCST Dementia Training Testimonials

Implementing the evidence-based iCST intervention in the community

CPD Advanced Dementia Education Training

“Having the opportunity to look critically at how we can empower people to live well with dementia and support carer relationships. Also there was a chance to share best practice and learn from both the Dr Leung and other participants’ experiences. I really enjoyed it. I really benefit from theory - it’s how I remember what the purpose of my role is!
Bristol Dementia Meeting Centre Manager
“Really useful, engaging, and important training. Really helps to have undertaken this at the beginning of building ‘my service’ so I can start to better support the carers who often get overlooked.”
North Somerset Dementia Meeting Centre Manager
The training was exceptional, far exceeded by expectations, thank you so much Phuong you are a gifted educator

One-day iCST Dementia Education Training

iCST has allowed me the opportunity to engage people with memory problems and their carers in interesting and stimulating meaningful discussion and activity at home. This would not have been possible without the iCST training programme, which I would thoroughly recommend to other professionals or people who are supporting those with memory problems.

A brilliant training and invaluable resource which I have shared and delivered to many of the patients and their families I care for during the prolonged closure of day care and other support groups.

Enjoyed the role play elements and discussion in groups to reflect on learning and discuss with other healthcare professionals. It was good to be reminded of the theories and key principles and how to put them into practice.
Very well presented and great use of the resources. Interactive and well planned. Thank you!

A good mix of group exercises and teaching and going through a process of looking at the evidence base and theory and then moving onto practical application was really useful.

It was a very concise well presented training session
- Dementia Care Manager
I generally don’t like doing role-play because it’s out of my comfort zone, but I found it really helpful. I also liked hearing all the feedback everyone had about the role plays.
