With the growth of social media and the pervasiveness of smartphones, a technology gap has emerged leaving older adults lonely and isolated. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic motivated many older adults to adopt technology, there are still many for which mainstream technology applications are too cumbersome to use, leaving their adult children scratching their heads not knowing what to do, and worried about the physical and mental health of their aging parents and relatives. Sociavi Company realized this unmet need and set on a mission to provide the simplest way for aging adults to maintain communication and companionship even when they may have lost the ability to actively reach out by themselves due to dementia or normal aging, giving peace of mind to the ones who care for them.
